Hello Scottie
Lovers
Welcome to my web site, I hope you will enjoy looking at my site and enjoy my babies, past and present
Carisco Scottish Terriers is a small establishment based in Geordie-land in the North East of England. My sole purpose of breeding is to produce healthy, happy, good temperamental and well bred dogs, either for the show ring or to be kept in the luxury that they deserve, as a pet.
I obtained my Kennel Club affix - CARISCO - in 1990 I devised this name with the combination of my name CAR the ’ I ‘ was for my husband Ian, and I then added SCOT, but the Kennel Club declined this, so I crossed of the ‘T’ and so CARISCO came into fruition
My foundation bitch was obtained from Mr Bruce Tinning of the Noblescourt kennels. She was called Noblescourt Talk of the Town (Gracie) and she produced me two super litters – 7 in the first litter and 6 in the second litter. This line was predominantly Mayson, and so my breeding and showing career began. Over the years I have gained numerous CC’s and RCC’s
All of my dogs are always prepared and handed by myself, but I must take this opportunity of thanking Mr Stuart Plane and David Guy in assisting me with my trimming in the very early days. I would take my dog over to them, thinking he was ready for the show ring, then a constructive critiscm would ensue, and I would be sent home to ‘redo’ Thank you guys for all the great advice
My litters are always very carefully planned and my breeding is only on a small scale, only when I am looking for a new baby to show and to continue the line. Health and temperament are of paramount importance. They are all reared in my home, with mother and babies sleeping next to my bed for the first 3 weeks. They are then introduced to the rest of the clan and all live happily in the home, thus being socialised and well prepared for their new lives with their new owners. I am always proud to show visitors my dogs and visitors are always very welcome, but I do need a little notice as I also run a small boarding kennel and life can be very hectic at times, so I would appreciate a phone call to arrange an appointment
My love for the Scottie is not only showing and breeding but in addition to this I enjoy judging them at Championship Show level. I am currently on the Committee of the Scottish Terrier Club (England) . Information on this Club and other UK clubs, Scottie friends and other dog related sites can be seen on my links page. Scottish Terriers have played an important part of my life, in fact they are my passion, and because of this, over the years I have made many many friends and lifelong friendships both at home and abroad. Wherever I travel to I could meet up with a Scottie friend or acquaintance

I HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR VISIT TO MY SITE AS MUCH I HAVE HAD PUTTING IT TOGETHER AND GIVING ME A NOSTALGIC VISIT OVER THE YEARS WITH MY LOVELY DOGS. THIS IS ONLY A SMALL SELECTION OF THE WONDERFUL SCOTTIES THAT I HAVE HAD THOUGH OUT MY LIFE. IT HAS BEEN AN EMOTIONAL VISIT DOWN MEMORY LANE.
